Abstract

Indonesia has the potential to become a developed country, with abundant natural and human resources serving as added value for the nation. This potential gave rise to the ambitious vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, aiming to make Indonesia a prosperous and independent country. However, in its journey toward achieving this vision, Indonesia faces numerous challenges that hinder the realization of its goals as a developed nation. The primary issue lies in the low state revenue from its largest income sector, taxation.The root causes of this problem include complex regulations and the integrity of tax bureaucracy, which significantly impact public compliance with taxation. Taxes play a crucial role in funding the development of vital sectors, which are pivotal to accelerating infrastructure development toward a developed Indonesia. Addressing this issue requires the government, as the power holder, to reform laws and bureaucratic integrity related to state revenue management. This reform is necessary to optimize state income, paving the way for significant advancements toward a developed Indonesia.
